They say it fits in most. Also the wing articulates at the top so I guess you could still get out with less space available.

Sure it fits. You just can't get out.

Yeah, jesus that's tall. That would hit the roof of my work car park for sure.

All the moms are going to have to drive to the roof of the Nordstroms parking garage.

I can fit the Sequoia in the garage, barely, but height wise it's ok. Maybe the Model X would fit in mine.

My mom's hatch has trouble opening in our garage, and it's a lot lower than that.

I would never ever use a rear-view camera or any of my mirrors when reversing again if I had this.

Yeah, but the car itself isn't very tall. Not a lot of ground clearance. It's not so much "SUV" as it is "poorly proportioned car with useless doors."

most garages are just full of junk, totes, and tools. No room for cars anyway!

Still, it's going to have issues in many garages.

84.75" tall with the doors open. according to this pic
http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/attachment.php…

That's 2150mm in real measurements.. which is bang on the same height as my mates Landcruiser with a 2" lift kit and roof racks

My Seq is 77"

So yeah, in many garages it wouldn't even fit.

I just ran the maths again.. it's 2mm taller than my mates Landcruiser. which is fuggen huge.

also how do you roof rack with the model x? I suppose you don't.

(not that I'm not calling out the Model X.. I still think it's the coolest SUV/CUV coming to market)

So you have to run a roof rack to enable the short door mode? (Probably not, but still an odd design of a pretty vital component to any vehicle.)

No problem for me! I have 10ft ceilings in my garage with 8 foot doors. The model X is just under 85" tall with the doors open, that's only 7 feet. the standard height for garage doors is 7 feet and the garage ceiling would be at least 8 feet in a standard garage so it really should fit in most garages.
